Doctors were stunned when a Colombian woman rushed to a hospital with
severe stomach pain only for them to discover a potato growing roots in
her vagina.
The attending nurse, Carolina Rojas felt it was a joke when she saw
roots sprouting from her. The embarrassed 22 year old woman said her
mum told her to insert the potato as a contraceptive and it had lasted 2
weeks inside her womb .She told HBS news
My mum told me that if I didn’t want to get pregnant, I should put a potato up there. I believed her.’Luckily for her, she didn't suffer any life threatening effect and, it didn't require surgery.
